Challenge 4 Results, Elimination, and an Update!

The Challenge was fun, but not many people could come/stay, so there were many subs. Thanks to all of you that came to play for you favorite team! Anyways, The first round went to the Llamas! Then the Llamas won the 2nd round too! We were playing best of 5. Round 3 was VERY long! Nobody could get the obvious answer! But eventually, the Squirrels pulled through and won, if they had not, the Llamas would have won the entire game. Round 4 went to the Squirrels also. The game was close. Whoever wins rounf 5 wins the game. That team was............ THE LLAMAS! CONGRATS! Now the squirrels must say goodbye to a player. Again, we used a different method than the begining of the Season (Still classified). Who is going to go? Hedge? Peng? Lex? Seb? Bumble? It could be anybody. Seb, being the only one who showed for the Squirrels (not being a sub) is obviously SAFE! Thanks for supporting you team Seb! Peng (being newly added to the CPUGSS game.. replacing frosty) is also safe! So will it be Lex? Hedge? Bumble? Hedge is safe! Now Bumble and Lex. Since we decided NOT to have a double elimination, only ONE of you is out! (thats good and bad news) The person who is staying in CPUGSS is.................. Bumbleface!

Alexa, a great friend, is out of CPUGSS. You were a great player! Keep Rockn'!

Now time for the Update! Since Monday is not a very good day for most people anymore, we are changing the date to the Weekends! We will notify you what day, but when summertime comes for everyone, it may be switche to another day since weekends are usually busy then! So expect it to change again in a few weeks! Sorry for the Mishap! Stay Tuned for Challenge 5 Post! THIS WEEK IS IMPORTANT!! Something different will be happening.

Challenge 4: Can you make the Connection?

HELLO ALL! After a nice memorial break from CPUGSS, its time to begin yet another challenge! This weeks challenge WILL USE TEAMS! It is called Chain Reaction. Here is how to play:
- The Starting team will be given 2 words (one for the begining of the "chain" and one for the end)
- One person from the team will choose eaither to get a letter for below the 1st word or above the last one to try to guess a word that goes with it
- If they are correct another person from the same team get to guess another word
- If they are incorrect, the other team gets to guess
- YOU MAY NOT USE YOUR TEAMMATES WHILE GUESSING A WORD! YOU MUST GUESS IT ALONE!
- There will be 3 chains the teams will play "Best out of 5" to see who wins
Here is an example:

if you pick a letter below Computer:

And you would Guess the wordif you get it incorrect, another letter will be added if the other player from the other team chooses to try to guess that word Here is an example of a final chain:

Challenge 3: LLAMAS WIN!

I must say, this Jeopardy challenge must have been the best yet! It started with the Squirrels in the Lead. Although we had fill-ins, they all had team spirit which was great! The Llamas trailed behind most of the game. When it got down to only 5 Questions, Llamas started to make a comeback! It looked like all hopes were lost for the Llamas, but what they couldnt seem to understand was that there were bonus points hidden that had not been discovered yet! These bonus points got Llamas to the lead! There was a 20 point difference between the final score! The Llamas had won their first challenge and they rejoiced! The squirrels, devistated, congratulatd everyone. The Llamas Picked 2 people from the Squirrels and the the Squirrels picked 1 person from their own team. As we all thought it would be a double elimination... who was going home? The 3 people up for elimination were: Frosty... Dagamer... and Seb. We had a new way of elimination this week... a way that cannot be explained yet... but you will all know soon! Lucky for these people.. it was NOT a double elimination! Everyone cheered! Now we debated secretly over a couple days and a loser was decided. Frosty and DG and Seb all stood on the Line of Elimination with red light beating hard on them. They were sweating nervously. Seb was announced SAFE! It as down to Frosty and DG... they both looked at eachother and smiled. And they person....... who WILL be returning....... is...... FROSTY! Frosty cheered and DG smiled! Gave frosty a fist bump, and left the CPUGSS stage. Stay Tuned for Next Weeks Challenge!

Challenge 4: Bring Your Smarts

As the competition gets smaller and smaller, we try to use our teams as much as we can. THIS WEEK WE WILL BE USING OUR TEAMS! Before I get to what this weeks game will be, I will announce the person who wont be returning to CPUGSS. Last week, the Squirrels won! And 2 Llamas were put up for elimination. Neither of them layed the elimination game so we had to find a way to have one of them out. The 2 People were: Laura and K0wal ski. Keep in mind we decided this fairly. K0 will not be returning. Laura had shown up to previous challenges and K0 had not. Sorry K0 maybe next season! Congrats Laura. Now back to business! This weeks game..... will be.....................

Yes! You heard right! Its JEOPARDY! I can honestly say most EVERYONE knows how to play, so I will not go into too much detail. Penny cannot make it to this challenge so Slider94 will be hosting. He will create a board with 5 topics and prices being: 20, 40, 80, and 100. SLIDER WILL BE KEEPING POINTS, DO NOT TRY TO CORRECT HIM, WHAT HE SAYS GOES. The questions will be real life questions. Some topics will be fun and some will be serious. There may be some CP Questions so study your CP knowledge too. Here is the When and Where:

Challenge 2: Things Could Get Pricey!!

Hello all! We are back for another exciting round of CPUGSS! Last week we played Family Feud and had to say goodbye to our good friend Agent2310. This week the teams will come together yet again, and the squirrels will try to defend their championship title! The game is call The Price is Right! If you have never heard of this before, let me explain:

~The Hosts (Penney and Slider) will show a picture to everyone (everyone will be banned to keep things organized)

~The teams will then talk among each other to guess the CLOSEST price they think the item is worth

~Penny and Slider know the exact price so everything is fair

~The team captains (Tim and Hedge) will then tell us the price their group has decided on

~Closest price wins!

~There will be 10 Rounds (I know that sounds like a lot, but it will go by pretty fast)

The winning team will then pick 2 people from the losing team. Those 2 players will then play a game (like rock-paper-scissors) whoever loses that will be eliminated from CPUGSS and the winner will return for another week! If you have any questions, PLEASE comment!

Challenge 1 Review (Elimination and all!)

The first EVER CPUGSS challenge was AWESOME! Thanks to everyone that showed! Due to the shift in dates, not many contestants showed. However, some contestants did! They were:

And some others! Some people also filled in! Thanks to those who did! Now lets get the the recap! After the rules were explained, Tim and Hedge, the 2 captians faced off! Hedge won and the team wound up winning round one! Congrats Squirrels! Next Round: Sebastian and Laura faced off! Sebastian won! But the Llamas stole all the points! GO LLAMAS! It was a tie! Round 3 the Squirrels won as well as round 4! Overall, the squirrels racked up the most points! (If you are unfamiliar with Family Feud, check the post below)
Elimination:
The Squirrels got to pick 2 llamas to face off for elimination. They chose Molly and Agent! The elimination game was close.
Round 1- Agent and Molly Both chose water, TIE
Round 2- Tie AGAIN!
Round 3- Agent Get 1 Point
Round 4- Molly gets 1 point
Round 5- Molly gets one point, game over!

Agent2310 was eliminated for CPUGSS During Challenge 1.

The First Challenge! One With the Family!

FINALLY! It is time to start CPUGSS! The first Challenge will be THIS FRIDAY, MAY 7, 2010!! It will be after the Story-Book Survival Challenge is over. This challenge, you WILL be using your teams! (REMEMBER: WE ADDED 4 PEOPLE!) The game is called Family Feud. The challenge will be on the Official CPUGSS Chat! We will pit the Buzzing Llamas and the Flying Squirrels Against Each other. Here is what the Game entails:

You will be given a Topic

One person from each team will come up to the buzzers

I will give you a topic and the first person to buzz in must give their response

If the response is not number one on the board, the other person gets a chance to take the question.

The person with the Highest answer on the board will bring the topic over to their team.

I will then go to the next person in the team and they will give their response.

The team will try to clear the board.

There are 3 strikes, once one team reaches 3 strikes without completing the board, the other team will have a chance to "steal" the points.

The team will decide one answer they think is on the board, if they get it, they get the points, if not, the other team gets the points!

This continues for several rounds.

Team with the most points wins!

The team who wins get to pick 2 people from the losing team, Those 2 people will then play a One-on-One game, the Loser of that game will be eliminated. The "Elimination Game" will be ~Water, Fire, Wood~ (basically rock, paper, scisors) Best out of 3 Wins!

Welcome to Club Penguin Ultimate Gameshow Showdown!

Hey everyone! It's me Penny! (Yes, Mickey!) You might know me from my other site, http://www.clubpenguinpersonally.blogspot.com/, but now, I'm embarking on a new journey! I'm making a gameshow!!! It's called Club Penguin Ultimate Gameshow Showdown! (That's a mouthful, lol.) It's a gameshow, focusing around gameshows! Here are the rules:

There will be a challenge every week. Each week, I will make a post about the challenge a few days in advance. Each week will focus on a different gameshow. For example, one week might be The Price Is Right, the next week Lingo, then Deal or No Deal, and the next week Family Feud. (I will explain the gameshow in the post, so if you haven't heard of all the gameshows, no worries.) I will then create a mini version of the game, played either on Club Penguin or an xat chat. (Slider, the graphic designer of this site, will be making a chat soon.) The winner of the challenge will then select two others to go to "temple". This style of elimination is from Endurance, another gameshow. The two players will go to temple and face off against each other in a water, fire, wood game, which will be explained in a later post. The first player to win 2/3 rounds stays in the game, the other is eliminated. And then a whole new week starts... and another... and another... until we are down to two people. Those two people will face off in a top-secret game, and the winner will be crowned "Club Penguin's Ultimate Gameshow Contestant!"

So those are the rules. Do you want to sign up? If you want to sign up, just leave a comment with your penguin name, email (if you are comfortable giving out your email), why you want to be in this gameshow, and a little biography of yourself! I will post the contestants in a few days, after everyone has had a chance to sign up!

Also, I want to let everyone know that Slider94 is the graphic designer of this blog! He has made the banner, done the template, colors, chat, and everything else!
